Library
Twenty-one thousand books, and a rule about silence
The library runs across two rooms — a junior wing with low shelving and floor cushions, and a senior reading room seating sixty. Between them they hold 21,400 volumes, twelve periodicals and four daily newspapers in three languages.
Every class from I to VIII has a timetabled library period. Senior students may borrow up to four books at a time and the librarian keeps a standing recommendation shelf that changes every fortnight.
The one rule is that the senior reading room is silent. It is enforced by the students themselves, which works considerably better.

Laboratories
Four laboratories, and a practical every week
Separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories, each sized for a half-class of seventeen so that every child handles the apparatus rather than watching someone else do it.
All three have eye-wash stations, a fume hood, chemical storage to CBSE specification and a full-time laboratory assistant. The Computer and Robotics laboratory holds sixty workstations on a 1 Gbps leased line.
Practical work is timetabled from Class VI, not merely from Class IX when the board begins to require it.

Sports & games
Two games periods a week. Every class. No exceptions.
A 300-metre six-lane track, a full-size football field, two basketball courts, a volleyball court, a table tennis hall with six tables and a covered pavilion used for yoga and gymnastics.
Every student gets two timetabled games periods a week — including Class 10, which surprises people and is the point. Coaching is available in athletics, football, basketball, table tennis, chess and taekwondo.
The four houses — Birsa, Tilka, Sido and Kanhu — compete across eleven events through the year, structured so that participation, not just winning, earns points.

Transport
Twenty-two buses, eighteen routes, one attendant on each
The fleet covers most of Ranchi within a 14 km radius — Kanke Road, Harmu, Doranda, Hinoo, Bariatu, Lalpur and Ring Road among them. Every bus carries GPS, CCTV, a speed governor and a first-aid kit.
A trained female attendant travels on every route without exception. Parents receive live location access through the school app, and drivers are police-verified and re-tested annually.
New routes are considered each April where at least twelve confirmed students apply from one corridor.

Health & safety
A nurse on campus, every hour the school is open
The infirmary is staffed full-time by a qualified nurse, with a visiting physician twice a week and a tie-up with a hospital four kilometres away for emergencies.
Two trained counsellors hold confidential drop-in hours daily. Any student may see them without going through a teacher, and no note is sent home without the student’s knowledge.
An annual health check covers every child — height, weight, vision, dental and haemoglobin — and the record goes home in writing.

Music & dance studio
Acoustically treated rooms for Hindustani vocal, tabla, keyboard, guitar and classical dance, with instruments the school owns and lends.
Art & craft studio
A north-lit studio with two pottery wheels and a kiln. The corridor outside is the exhibition space, rehung every term.
Cafeteria
A supervised cafeteria with a published weekly menu, no fried food, and drinking water from three RO plants across the campus.
Assembly hall
Nine hundred seats with full stage lighting and sound — used for the annual production, house events and parent meetings.
Atal Tinkering Lab
3D printer, microcontroller kits and a soldering bench, open after school four days a week to any student from Class VI.
Safety & security
Controlled single-point entry, visitor logging with photo ID, and a fire drill every term with recorded evacuation times.
